Welcome to the Oskaloosa School District's Child Nutrition Page!
We're a group of child nutrition professionals who literally live to serve our students. We feel very strongly that school meals are the building blocks of a successful & productive school day for each child. We contiunally strive to prepare high-quality, nutritious meals that the students love to eat!
*All meals must pass stringent guidelines from the USDA regarding calories, fat, sugar, & salt. When your child eats a school meal, you can be certain that it's packed with goodness!
School District Wellness Policy
Want to eat lunch with your student(s)? Great! Feel free to join us anytime. You will need to stop in the main office of your student's school & pay the secretary.
School Year 2022-2023 Food Service
Due to changes made to Food Service Guidelines by the USDA, both breakfast and lunch will resume being full priced in August 2022. We appreciate your understanding that this is not a local decision, but guidance issued from the USDA and State organizations that we are required to follow. Meal costs will be as follows:
2022 - 2023 Breakfast, Lunch, and Milk Fees
Elementary & Middle School Students
Breakfast – Per Meal - $2.00 Breakfast is served daily at each school from 7:50am-8:10am
Lunch Ticket – Per Meal - $2.85
Additional Milk - $ .50
Senior High School Students
Breakfast – Per Meal - $2.00
Lunch Ticket – Per Meal - $3.00
Additional Milk - $ .50
Your student may qualify for free or reduced meals by filling out an Iowa Application for Free & Reduced Price School Meals. Applications for school year 22-23 are available. If you are unsure whether you qualify or not, we encourage you to fill out a Free/Reduced application to determine your eligibility. Other fees such as book fees, driver's education ect are determined by this eligibility as well.
